About this course

Privacy is key to human dignity, safety, and the right to self-determination. The right to privacy is also included in the Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006.

Breaches of privacy laws can be costly. As well as compensation that may be owed under the PDPA, the legal and general business costs of defending a complaint can be significant, particularly when compare to the relatively low cost of ongoing compliance.
