About this course
In addition to the Privacy Act 1988, the General Data Protection Regulation (or GDPR) may apply to Australian companies that handle the personal information of individuals who are in the European Union (including countries in the European Economic Area).
The GDPR has transformed how businesses, including Australian businesses, handle personal data. The GDPR details a range of privacy obligations that are similar to the Privacy Act but also includes additional and more prescriptive obligations.
