About this course

Fire safety encompasses fire prevention, how to deal with a fire and essential emergency information. It is crucial to be aware of fire safety in all aspects, both before, during and after a fire.

This includes but is not limited to: knowing how to use various types of fire equipment for different fires, maintaining and inspecting this equipment for continual use, and ensuring that you have a current Fire Safety Plan at your disposal.

In the event of a fire in the workplace, your fire safety training could be the difference in your own survival and that of your colleagues.

Training in fire safety allows staff to be aware of the causes of fire hazards and how to prevent them from occuring in the workplace. Training also teaches staff how to handle any fire hazards if they do occur.

Safetrac’s ‘Fire Safety’ course is designed to give you an overview on fire safety, prevention and awareness. It details step by step guidelines on how you should respond to a fire in the case of an emergency, including appropriate steps to prevent, contain and extinguish fires
