On 28 November 2022, the landmark Anti-Discrimination and Human Rights Legislation Amendment (Respect at Work) Bill 2022 (Bill) passed into legislation – a milestone in addressing workplace sexual harassment in Australia.
Beginning December 12, 2023, the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) will have increased authority to enforce the Respect@Work laws as part of the Sex Discrimination Act.
